Put your Skills to the Test
Test your skills in Sweden's most challenging terrain. Equipped with minimal gear and a satellite messaging device, you will have to navigate from point to point and do what it takes to survive the nights. You will pass through bogs, subalpine forest, open alpine areas, and boreal forest.
Your evaluator, ex-army ranger and wildlife biologist Petter Hillborg, will be following you from out of sight throughout the entire evaluation to make sure that you remain safe throughout the duration of the course and in order to grade you for your certification.

Calendar and Logistics
Once you have booked your days and have paid for the test through our website, you will meet with the evaluator on the start date of your test at Östersund central station. From there, he will drive you out into the mountains to the area where we host our test. Upon arrival at the starting point, he will equip you minimal gear and a map and the test will begin with you having to navigate to your first checkpoint.

Evaluation Criteria
You are not expected to demonstrate all of these skills, and will only be graded on what the evaluator sees as relevant.
- Map and compass navigation
- Site selection, shelter construction and fire building
- Mental fortitude
- Food harvesting (can include edible plants, berries, lichens, mushrooms, insects, scavenging and fishing)
- Finding water
- Ability to prioritize your needs
- Ability to cover ground efficiently
- Any other survival skill demonstrated can help you in your evaluation.
